Blake Shell Bio
Blake Shell is an artist, an art educator, and a contemporary art curator. She received a Bachelor of Art from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 2001 and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2003. Her work has been exhibited in venues such as the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and the Institute for New Media in Frankfurt, Germany as well as alongside video artists Bill Viola, Nam June Paik, and William Wegman. Shell is a member of the Society for Photographic Education, and the New Media Caucus of the College Art Association. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon and is the Archer Gallery Director and an Adjunct Art Professor at Clark College and Washington State University in Vancouver, Washington.
